THE BRIEF

As both a retailer and a wholesaler, Charles Bentley were trading under two names with different websites for each segment. They were operating with multiple third-party systems which managed stock and customer data separately. However, as they were going through a period of change and rebranding; they engaged us to work on a digital strategy.

OUR APPROACH

Firstly, having worked with the key Charles Bentley stakeholders to consult on their positioning and strategy; we advised that for SEO best practice and efficiency, combining the two websites into one platform which allows separation of user groups would be the best approach. Knowing how Charles Bentley’s systems worked, we recommended a Magento 2 platform.

The Website

The new website pulls product data, inventory and customer information from various internal systems into one easy to use eCommerce platform. Furthermore, trade and retail customers are now managed alongside each other; with different content, pricing and payment options based on their user group. Lastly, the website is built on Magento 2 with WordPress to allow the team at Charles Bentley to easily update and manage content independently.
