Putting ideas into reality is what CDA is all about. In preparation for our ever expanding company, renovation work to the top floor of our Hitchin offices started over the Christmas period. Only 10 weeks later and here we are with our brand new meeting room and events area. We welcome you to see our development journey throughout our renovation, which we like to call – phase 2 of CDA!
Let’s rewind a little…
Firstly, when having the original vision to utilise the top floor space of our CDA offices when we moved in last April, the rest of 2016 was spent planning the renovation work that would give us a brand new meeting room and events area. On Boxing Day 2016, visions were put into reality and building work began. 5 days later, all stud-work was in place and all walls were ready for plastering to begin on New Years Day! A very busy Christmas period for CDA.
An empty space one minute, walls up the next! Office renovation officially in full swing:
Welcoming the new year in with new furniture (making the most of the January sales!) and a dash of colour, cupboards were installed and a lick of paint was splashed on the walls. The task? To turn the area from a construction site (and temporary interview space!) into both an inviting meeting and social area. Keen to continue our distinctive CDA colours throughout, the aim was to be informative and creative but minimalistic. Decision time – what colour should each wall be painted?
January– the month for making final adjustments. The aim this month was to finish decorating, finalise graphic ideas, approve furniture deliveries and confirm ideas for the blinds, all in time for our first event in February.
The most exciting part – final touches! A furniture refresh throughout the entire office meant a new board table and furniture for the meeting room and events area – and some very comfy chairs! An afternoon of stocking the fridges as well as filling the cupboards up with shiny new personalised mugs and glasses for that one step closer to finishing. Coffee machine and tea urn installation next, alongside having our brand new blinds fitted and carpets cleaned.

Our design team created a range of graphics to be installed throughout both the office and our new areas. Concentrating on combining CDA’s personality and services together as well as spreading some positivity through installing famous quotes on the walls.

With both our graphics, TV’s, whiteboards and furniture fully installed throughout; our brand new facilities are complete and ready to enjoy using. Excited to put our new facilities to good use, we were first to use the meeting room by holding a team meeting one day after completion.
Our meeting room and events area is based in Hitchin, Hertfordshire; both available to hire and have full access to Wifi and beverage facilities. CDA is located 5/10 minutes from Hitchin train station and 5 minutes from the town centre.
Our meeting room is perfect for holding both team and private one to one meetings and is available to hire throughout the week.
In conclusion, a brilliant area to host or attend networking events, team meetings, product launches, training or tutoring sessions. Also available to hire throughout the week.
